Abstract:
This paper will address the complexity of the terroir of the Burgundy region. In Burgundy, there are six terroirs: Chablis, Côte de Nuits,  Côte de Beaune, Côte Chalonnaise, Mâconnais, and Pouilly-sur-Loire. Each of these terroirs varies in terms of soil, orientation, elevation, and slope. The terroir of the Côte de Beaune will be presented in detail.
