Session Description: The papers in this session will consider educational issues for GIS in a range of learning environments, from K-12 through varieties of higher education. Topics will include the spatial misconceptions that may hinder learning, effective integration of GIS into a K-12 framework, stand-alone spatial thinking curricula that may contribute to different and/or better use of GIS, and design of GIS curricula best suited to meet work-force needs.
