Session Description: Today's college students are media-saturated - from their iPods to the latest in viral videos on YouTube.  How can we get them to shift from unconscious consumers to savvy critical consumers of media and its geographical ramifications?  This panel presentation will bring together media geographers to discuss the ways we teach geographies of the media.  Through this interactive forum we hope to touch on the methodological and theoretical issues of teaching media geography while covering the spectrum of media.  As well as discussing our teaching techniques, we look forward to our audience/colleagues sharing their experiences.
