Session Description: The census has become a major data source for a variety of analyses and decision processes that have significant geographic components. Here, we use the term "mapping" to capture the essence of using census data: the spatial aspect of census data that has provided an enormous opportunity for geographers and researchers from many disciplines. We welcome papers that examine the census from perspectives such as cartography and visualization, spatial analysis and modeling, qualitative urban studies, and uncertainty.
